LEGENDARY AUDIOPHILE CLASSIC!! PEPE ROMERO FLAMENCO 1987 Philips Digital 422 069 - 1 - DUTCH PRESSING!
Described as the 'greatest flamenco recording on the planet' this is a first pressing of the astonishing and incredibly rare 1987 album from Pepe Romero, Chano Lobato, Maria Magdalena and Paco Romero.
I have tried to grade the album as accurately as possible and have erred on the conservative side. I listened to it a few times at a high volume.
Side One
On first inspection the vinyl looks NM. However under strong light there are some very light markings. The side generally plays NM however there is some light and very occasional crackle so I will grade as EX+.
Side Two
On first inspection the vinyl looks close to NM but strong light reveals some markings including a scuff right at the start of the side and a light scratch on track two which if I remember rightly results in half a dozen or so light clicks. There is light crackle through tracks one and two. On the whole this does not overpower the music or interfere hugely but given the dynamics of the recording it is audible. A professional clean may resolve this. For this reason I will grade this side as VG+. The majority of the side however plays like side one.
The cover has some creasing to the spine and signs of shelf wear. There is small stain on the back near the left hand corner. Again I would grade conservatively at VG+.
The insert has some slight creasing to the top right hand corner and grades EX-.
