Various Artists – Australian Folk Festival LP (orig. Australia Score MONO POL 035, flipback cover)
Release date: September 1964. Recording dates (tracks 1-8, 10-12): 4th August 1964 (evening).
On offer here is an EXTREMELY RARE original issue of the live album called “Australian Folk Festival”, which presents a selection of songs from the FOUR CAPITALS FOLK SONG concert tour held during August 1964. The tour travelled through Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Wollongong & Sydney. Performing artists included Paul Marks, Duke Tritton, Gary Shearston & Marian Henderson (from Sydney), Martyn Wyndham-Read, Brian Mooney & Lenore Somerset (from Melbourne), Tina Lawton (from Adelaide) and Margaret Kitamura (from Brisbane).
It should be noted that Gary Shearston and Marian Henderson do not appear on this album.

Trevor Lucas “The Voyager” is taken from his album “See That My Grave Is Kept Clean”, as Gary Shearston (who sang it at the concert) could not get a release from his CBS recording contract.

front: VG(+) glossy finish: moderate handling wear with light ring-wear (mainly top & bottom), creasing/surface rubbing, spine looks OK (minor wear only), scuffing/seam splits (partially repaired) along top & bottom seams (VG-), rubbing & pen near top-left (see image), very minor pen mark near bottom-right.
back: VG glossy finish (flipback): moderate handling wear with light ring-wear (inner & outer rim), creasing/surface rubbing, overall discolouration.
Record:
visual: VG glossy sheen—mainly hairlines, however there are also some light surface scuffs, first track is VG-; very minor haze across one part (not all) of side 2. QUALITY THICK VINYL PRESSING!
audible: VG PUNCHY and VIBRANT SOUND despite some surface noise & occasional light pops, first track has several light pops (VG-). COMPLETELY FREE OF ANY JUMPS OR SKIPS!
