AXIOM “IF ONLY …” LP 33RPM Australian Rock Classic
Axiom was formed in 1969 by members from The Twilights and The Groop and were dubbed Australia’s first “super group”.
The line-up comprised Glenn Shorrock (vocals, guitar), Brian Cadd (vocals, piano), Don Mudie (bass), Chris Stockley (guitar) and Don Lebler (drums), who replaced original drummer Don Lavery during the recording of the “Fool's Gold" album in 1970.
This 12” LP stereo recording entitled “If Only …” was released in September 1971 by Warner Brothers Records, Catalogue No. WS3009.
It contains 10 tracks, all written by Brian Cadd and Don Mudie, including “Little Ray of Sunshine” and “My Baby’s Gone”.
The cover is in excellent condition with insignificant impression marks that are hardly visible (see photo).
Fantastic for a record that is 40 years old this year!
The vinyl is near mint, it has been played but has absolutely no marks or scratches.
This would be a great addition to any Australian Rock collection, especially given the heritage and legacy of the group’s members.
