Abbey Road by the Beatles.

Rare UK first pressing to the best of my knowledge. These are generally the most sought out copies of this classic disk.
Firstly, the record:
Visually very nice. Superficial hair lines on both sides with a small slightly deeper dink on side A (see picture 10). The labels have a little spindle wear on them but are really pretty nice otherwise. I've had it professionally cleaned so it's lovely & shiny.
I have play tested this record (no *visual testing only* nonsense) & it generally sounds gorgeous -upfront & bright just like the sixties stereo pressings should be. The run ins are lovely & quiet too. However the knock on side A does cause a couple of clicks followed by a short skip on I Want You. This is the only reason for the low starting price.
Secondly, the sleeve:
Generally of a lovely standard. Clean & unmarked with a razor sharp spine & nicely defined corners. A little foxing here & there & light edge wear but nothing too offensive. The pictures tell a thousand words.
Further notes:
No Her Majesty on sleeve nor label;
Misaligned Apple on the sleeve.
John is 121 mm tall on the sleeve - taller than usual. I had no idea about this until half an hour ago but my friendly local record dealer tells me that means it's a very early copy.
In summary- a nice copy of a rare collectable.
