Description

This is a rarely found copy of the 1961 renown film "Beat Girl" featuring Adam Faith and Shirley Anne Field. It is the musical score to the soundtrack of the film "Beat Girl" and features a host of songs by Adam Faith,Shirley Anne Field and most noteworthy John Barry and his Orchestra and The John Barry Seven. There are 18 songs all of which firmly represent the rock and roll beat sound of the time....1961. About the album: Issued on the Green and Gold Columbia label catalogue number 33SX 1225.It is a Mono pressing. This soundtrack in LP format is a rare find ...some 56 years old.
The Outer cover: (front) Benefits from a laminate coating and presents in good order for its age - creasing and wear is confined only to the very outer edges, please see photos. The rear cover has the flipback laminate edges and again offers protection over the years. As can be seen from the pictures the rear cover has discoloured typically with the passage of time and if you look closely you can see a name and address in the top corner, otherwise the condition is good - again considering its age. The inner sleeve is  standard factory pressed in white and is in good order.
The vinyl: Side "A": A close visual examination under bright lighting conditions reveals several surface marks and a series of surface scratches noteably across tracks 5 6 7 and 8 although somewhat short in appearance they are visible , I have therefore played this side and on my audio equipment the sound reproduction is of good quality. As with any vinyl - even new, one can detect the occasional pop or  crack consistent with hard to detect surface marks, scratches  or dust, some being louder than others, this is particular noticeable on quitter sections, intro's and play-offs of the album , (please see photos as I have tried to capture the marks).Again and of note on my equipment , notwithstanding the above marks I have detailed, at no time have I detected any sticking , jumping or skipping, please bear in mind this is a mono copy.   Side"B" : Again, a  close visual examination under bright lighting conditions of Side B reveals several light surface marks and  occasional light scratches, somewhat better in overall appearance than Side A I have therefore played this side and on my audio equipment the sound reproduction is of good quality. As previously stated, as with any vinyl - even new, one can detect the occasional pop or  crack consistent with hard to detect surface marks, scratches  or dust, some being louder than others, this is particular noticeable on quitter sections, intro's and play-offs of the album , that said  the listening quality of the vinyl on this side and  in my view for the most part is unspoilt - (please see photos as I have tried to capture the marks).Again and of note on my equipment ,at no time have I detected any sticking , jumping or skipping notwithstanding the marks I have described. Kindly note, I require a signature against postal receipt (tracked) in order to secure a safe delivery at a minimal price as detailed, thankyou.
