Description
I picked this up years ago someplace (probably not the Salvation Army) and it's been hidden among my 250-300 LPs until last week. Adam Stag Party Record #9 "Sin Along With Us". I tested the record by listening to both sides using ear buds. Side 1 had a few tics especially at the beginning of the record. Side 2 plays fine. While all the songs are interesting and ribald, two songs on side 2 caught my attention. "The Grocer's Wife" is an old song and was obviously the inspiration for the early 1950's hit novelty song by Phil Harris "The Thing". The following song, "The Money Rolls In", was a popular doggerel here in the States during the boom years of the Roaring 20's known as "My God, How the Money Rolls In".
Oh, besides the record there's an interesting photo on the album cover, in case you haven't noticed.
The album has a split a tad over an inch on the edge in the middle opposite the opening (photo 7). There's a very slight rip on the bottom edge near the opening (photo 9). The top edge is in good shape (photo 8).
