1973 AEROSMITH FIRST ALBUM

THIS ALBUM IS FROM THEIR RECORD RELEASE EVENT WHICH WAS HELD AT THE LIBERTY TREE MALL IN DANVERS MASSACHUSETTS. OWNED BY ME PERSONALLY...I HAVE ATTACHED PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN AND DEVELOPED BY MYSELF SO THAT YOU MAY SEE THIS WAS AN ACTUAL EVENT. YOU CAN SEE IN ONE OF THE PHOTOS, THERE IS A COPY OF THEIR FIRST ALBUM HANGING FROM A VERY CRUDE BANNER HANGING UNDERNEATH THE BOAT IN THE GARDEN DEPT!  HAHA...THE OTHER PHOTO SHOWS JOE PERRY, STEVEN TYLER AND BRAD WHITFORD AT THE FOLDING TABLE SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS. THESE PHOTOS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION...I HAVE POSTED THEM TO SHOW PROVENANCE (place of origin).

I STOOD IN LINE A LONG TIME FOR THIS ALBUM (I STILL OWN THE PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPHED ONE BUT IT'S NOT FOR SALE!) BEING A HARD CORE AEROSMITH FAN BEFORE MOST PEOPLE  KNEW WHO AEROSMITH WAS, WE DROVE IN A THICK HEAVY FOG AND RAIN FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE THINKING THIS WAS A "FREE" CONCERT!  WHEN WE GOT THERE AND REALIZED THEY WERE "ONLY SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS" IF YOU BOUGHT THEIR NEW ALBUM, MY HUSBAND (BOYFRIEND AT THE TIME) GOT SO MAD HE WALKED OUT.  I TOLD HIM, "I WAS STAYING", AND I DID.  THEY AUTOGRAPHED AN ALBUM FOR ME,  POSED FOR PHOTOS (which I can't find) AND I BOUGHT HIM AN ALBUM ANYWAY BUT DID'T HAVE THEM SIGN IT!  (jUST A LITTLE DIG, PARDON THE PUN).  ANYWAY...HE ISN'T AROUND ANYMORE BUT THE ALBUM IS. BY THE WAY, I TOLD STEVEN TYLER THAT NIGHT THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE PISSED OFF THAT THEY WEREN'T PLAYING AND HE POINTED AND SAID, "TALK TO MY MANAGER"...HE WAS A ROCK STAR EVEN BEFORE HE WAS A ROCK STAR!

One of the first 10,000 copies of their 1st released album from 1973 Columbia Records (Intermedia Sound) which has the infamous misprint of "Walking The Dig".

 Now if you have read  Steven Tylers 2011 book "DOES THE NOISE IN MY HEAD BOTHER YOU", You'll see his quote...(page 117)"On the first ten thousand copies of the album they spelled it "Walkin the Dig". "If you happen to find a copy, it's worth about five thousand dollars.  You'd figure with all that cash and the power the labels had, they'd learn how to spell." Well Steven, I wish it was worth that much,  but I have no dillusions of making a fortune on this album.  It is what it is, I'm just trying to survive.  Happy Bidding

 I have photographed well, the album cover is pretty much the way it should be for an album over 40 years old that has been literally played thousands of times and you can only image what else it was used for. There is no sleeve and the album has minor surface scratches but plays excellent, no skipping, although I don't think you're bidding on the album to play it!
