Description
Rarely seen private pressing on the collectable Airship label (Bognor Regis, West Sussex), this is the only album released by After Eight, a six-piece band with two female vocalists and a wide ranging repertoire from funk/disco (Southern Freeze, I will survive, Boogie oogie oogie, Celebration), through rock and roll instrumentals (Shazam, Telstar) to pop and show tunes.
Deft and very capable instrumental performances and solid vocals lift this well above the usual cabaret/dance band private presses of the 70s and 80s.
Some decent funk breaks to be had.
Sleeve has some creases near the spine and general wear and grades VG+, while the vinyl is in fine condition and is at least excellent, as are the labels.
Plain white inner sleeve.
Hard to find these days. Sensible offers welcome.
Postage and Packing: UK £3.38, Europe £9.50, Rest of the World £18.50
