Afternoon in Paris
Atlantic LP 1267
Black Label/Silver Print - Deep Groove
Original Pressing
John Lewis/Sacha Distel/Barney Wilen
Played maybe once or twice
Beautiful original pressing of this tremendous jazz LP. Afternoon in Paris. John Lewis and Sacha Distel with the amazing tenor sax of Barney Wilen throughout. Vinyl is NM- and rarely played. Great gloss, with only a few light handling marks from going in the sleeve and one light unfeelable mark on first track that does not sound. LP plays beautifully and quiet with full-bodied sound and nice dark soundstage. Clear and crisp. Plays NM. The cover is a work of art and is in NM condition, with slight toning on back and small pen number written in lower right corner. Beautiful cover with great seams. No splitting or fraying, etc.
A top, collectible copy. Archiveable and likely as nice a total package as you will find for this title.
LP comes from a 30+ year collection of meticulously-maintained and loved jazz and classical LPs of an established east coast collector.
The soundstage on these LPs will be rich, with great background and space. Music will be upfront, full bodied and crystal clear -- the way only vinyl can sound
These LPs will play great on your turntable and be a nice addition to your collection.
I will be listing high quality, jazz, classical, funk, early hip hop and unusual LPs from a spectacular collection. All will be collectible copies of sought after titles that will play nicely on your turntable and look great in your collection.
