Description

Akira Ishikawa & Count Buffaloes "Uganda" LP, a repress of this totally obscure 1972 album on the collector's favorite Shadoks label.

Limited pressing of 400 (this copy numbered 327/400). An EXACT reproduction of original Toshiba JP pressing, with heavy tipped-in sleeve & thick 180 gram vinyl.

Talked about in Julian Cope's essential 'Japrocksampler' book, this album finds drummer/composer Akira Isikawa drawing on his experiences in Africa. Record in Japan with well-known guitarist Mitzutani ("Ceremony", "Path Through the Haze"), "Uganda" is raved about by fans of outsider jazz, obscure psych & pretty much everyone else that enjoys guitar freakouts & heavy percussion.
