Akritas - S/T - 1973 - Polydor - Catalog No. 2421 031 - Greece
Very rare original press of this Greek progressive monster classic from 1973; an album in a class of its own that definitely lives up to its reputation.
Condition:
Cover - Good(+) - Lots of noticeable wear - some creases and fading on front cover - two separate sticker tears (see picture), and a mostly rubbed out but still discernable crayon mark - back cover shows some ringwear - spine wear - some wear along top seam - bottom seam shows heavy wear with a small split at sleeve opening where LP slides in.
Vinyl (Visual Grade Only)
Side 1 - shows light scratches / sleeve scuffs - a couple of small finger smudges - looks VG++
Side 2 - lots of small scratches / sleeve scuffs - one heavier scratch evident extending over the first 2-3 tracks - one spot over the second and third tracks that appears to be some sort of dirt residue - looks VG to VG+
Overall record appears like it would play VG+ to VG++, with surface noise more discernible in quieter passages. I have never come across an original copy of this album that played really clean, even when the vinyl was pristine looking.
