Al Brown and the Tunetoppers

“Take Me Back”/“Mention Me”

Soul/jazz/rhythm and blues/dance single issued on Amy Records #811 in 1960.

The Tunetoppers was a band led by tenor saxophonist Al Brown who scored a national hit with a dance tune called "The Madison" in 1960 with dance calls by Cookie Brown. Issued in October of 1960, this was the third of four singles the band had on Amy in 1960-61.

This styrene copy grades as VG+ (very good plus). The labels are clean, clear and unmarked. It has been cleaned with an ultrasonic record cleaner as well.

This copy comes from the 50-year collection of a recently deceased New England disc jockey.
