Description
For sale is Al Green's Call Me, originally released in 1973 by HI Records, distributed by London Records. In the dead wax between these labels and the last tracks is an underscored "M" plus a "HC" along with a "PR", signifying that this record was mastered by Howard Craft at Mastercraft, Memphis, Tennessee and co-mastered by Paul Richmond. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as VG because of corner blunts, edge wear and a return address sticker on the front. The spine has color loss at the corners. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of faint sleeve marks and surface scratches. I'm play grading it as VG because of some surface noise, along with an occasional pop and some ticking that doesn't over power the music. This is still a very listenable record and would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Motown records, as well as albums of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
