Description
The second of only two solo releases by Wayne's older, trumpet playing brother Alan (or Al), recorded for the French label America Records in 1971. Co-players are messrs Gary Windo on tenor-sax, Rene Augustus on drums/bells and Johnny Mbizo Dyani on bass/piano/flute/bells. Short promo written on the backside of the cover by photographer/writer/free jazz expert Valerie Wilmer. According to allmusic.com she was one of the key jazz writers of the 1960s who embraced and wrote intelligently about avant-garde and free jazz.
A true free jazz collector's item, with the vinyl in NM condition/Sleeve a strong VG+, it only misses out on NM grading on account of an 3 inch/8cm seam split in the central lower spine (most likely storage wear).
