On offer here is a fantastic two item package for any fans of the late,great Alan Hull.Alan was one of our greatest songwriters for both Lindisfarne and solo careers and should certainly be on a par with the Lennon/McCartneys and Ray Davies etc for brilliant British songwriting in my opinion.
Firstly,on offer is a rare white promo vinyl album of his superb debut solo LP.I recall getting this and the excitement of thinking i was hearing this before the majority of the public and it remains one of my favourites to this day.Of course,when it was officially released,it came out as a gatefold with several pages of photos within,but this white promo is a much simpler affair.It is a single sleeve with staples along the top and bottom of the sleeve and remains in excellent condition,with just very minimal wear on the edges and spine and the odd crease.I would grade it as EXCELLENT-.The vinyl is in absolutely superb condition,with just the very merest bit of crackle now and then,but certainly,at least,an EXCELLENT.(Please see pictures provided).In summary:

The inner-sleeve is a white polylined inner with simply Alan Hull 'Pipedream' CAS 1069 written on.
The second item is the incredibly rare original book from Alan entitled 'The Mocking Horse',published by Spice Box Books(A Charisma Company) in 1973.This collected together Alan's poetry and since i purchased it at the time,i have never come across another copy.The book is still solid and intact and just has the merest signs of browning on the cover.There is,however,just one browning spot which goes through and affects just the first few pages,getting lighter with each subsequent page.Otherwise,the inner pages are in a lovely clear bright state.(Again,please see photos provided).
