Awake 107 by the Alarm Clocks: Yeah b/w No Reason to Complain. Legendary, menacing, pounding Cleveland garage 45 from 1966, the only 45 this band ever issued. This is a guaranteed original which was bought back in the mid 90s at a local Cleveland shop. After hearing 15 seconds of Yeah, I couldn't get my money out fast enough.. It just sounded great! No idea what it was or where it was from. Gimme!...Now it's your turn to own this offered copy, to slap on the turntable and crank to 10!... Subsequently, George Gell who's Buckeye Beat 45 web site is indispensible, rediscovered this 45, and he and Tom Fallon tracked down the original members and convinced them to reform. Since 2000 the reformed Alarm Clocks have released 2 excellent Lps, performed many magnificent gigs with 4th member Tom Fallon playing switching guitar leads with Bruce Boehm, and driven audience crazy..... Norton also issued an LP of demos recorded in 1966, In 2000, that has tracks that are actually crazier than the single! Norton LD 285: The Alarm Clocks (Savage 1966 Ohio Garage Raunch). Today their live shows are a fabulous time warp, kick ass experience, not to be missed. Only 200 original copies of this outrageous 45 were pressed, and the few surviving copies are among the exalted centerpieces of great garage collections worldwide....The labels are clean, the vinyl is scuffy with some light spindle skids across the grooves, but has no deep scratches, no gouges.
