Alfred Hitchcock Presents Music To Be Murdered By is a GRP Records reissue (SL 5183) from 1980. It has the simplistic yet instantly recognizable caricature of Hitchcock’s profile that started his TV show—as well as the instantly recognizable theme music! The song selections on Music To Be Murdered By fit Alfred’s sardonic/macabre sense of humor; I’ll Never Smile Again, Body & Soul, and I Don’t Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You! Hitchcock also wrote the liner notes; “Today there are few good, honest murderers left. Most of them are hoodlums or neurotic wrecks with no sense of style or form and certainly no interest in good music.”
