Description
All records for sale come from my personal collection. I am currently selling off some records from the fringes of my collection to raise some money for a well deserved holiday. Most of the records in my collection are graded as EX or above and are handled carefully and kept in PVC sleeves. All the records I sell are play graded. I try to be very accurate with grading but it is slightly subjective so if you disagree with my grades I will always try to resolve any issues.

Please read this listing carefully before bidding. The starting price reflects a slight defect. I would be asking double if the record was perfect. This is a very rare and much sought after release on vinyl.
Sold to me on eBay graded as NM/NM but there is an issue which the original seller did not notice / bring to my attention as I think they just graded the record by a visual inspection.
The record is visually graded as Near Mint. All four sides have great sheen and lustre. Under bright light there is barely any sign of wear. The records are free of sleeve scuffs and hairlines and there are no scratches. There does however appear to be some light marks on the run in grooves on Sides 1 and 2.
The album mainly plays as it should for a Near Mint looking record - mostly EX or above but there are some occasional clicks during play so in general I would down grade it to VG+.
There is however, a play issue with about the first 35 seconds of Side 1 (My Things) and 40 seconds of Side 2 (Delaney). There is a repeated heavy click with each revolution of the record. Somehow the playing surface has been compromised - maybe a sticky finger or something in production). I’ve cleaned it several times and it makes no difference. There is also some crackle on run in grooves for Sides 3 and 4 though this stops as music begins.
So I’m not sure therefore how to assign an overall play grade. All four sides play as at least as VG+. But the first 30 seconds of Sides 1 and 2 are VG. Does that make the overall grade VG - I’m not sure? ( Just to be sure the album is full of samples which are full of scratchy old vinyl sounds - these are deliberate and add to the charm of the record. The clicks and cracks in the first 30 seconds shouldn’t be there!)
The gatefold sleeve is graded as EX. There is a shop/ record label sticker to the top right for Safe and Sound. Structurally the sleeve is near perfect and would be graded as Near Mint except there is a noticeable sticker mark on the back ( see last photo) and a very light crease to the top right of the front cover.
The full colour inner sleeves are both in Near Mint condition. There is one small dirt mark which can be seen on photo 4. It is on the right hand side of the left hand sleeve.
Postage quoted is for U.K. only. The record will be posted in a designated vinyl mailer with stiffeners for added protection during transit.

I paid a lot more for this record than I am selling it for. Cheapest copy for sale in UK I can find is £95 and can sell for well over £100. This copy is not perfect but it’s still pretty great and very hard to find.
