Description
Alternative - If They Treat You Like Shit, Act Like Manure (Corpus Christ, Christ It's 13, 1984)
Record Sleeve: Very Good +. Sunning to extremities. Rubbing and wear to extremities. Slight stain to bottom left corner of back sleeve.
Record: Very Good +. Faint scratches. 1 inch scratch to end of side 1 that causes pop in the last minute (instrumental). Scattered crackling to soft parts.
Inner/Lyric Sleeve: Very Good +: Tear to top and bottom of sleeve where the record has worn through. Stain to bottom left corner of sleeve.
Alternative, whom many called the 'Scottish Crass' due to their importance, was formed in 1979. They first came out on Crass's 'Bullshit Detector' with their track 'Change it'. This began a relationship with Crass, and led to them recording their first single 'In Nomine Patri' on Crass records in 1982, then a subsequent tour. Soon after, Linda 'Linger' Rotherham joined on vocals, making Alternative a seven-piece band. During the Spring of 1984, Alternative recorded the "If they Treat you like Shit, act like Manure' record. After further line-up changes in the band, and a demo in 1985, the band disbanded in 1986.
A, if not the, quintessential Anarcho-punk album to own.
