Bud Powell The Amazing Bud Powell Volume 1 Blue Note 1503 mono hybrid Lexington Ave/ New York USA labels, deep groove
Bud Powell (p), Sonny Rollins (ts), Fats Navarro (t), Curly Russell (b), Max Roach, Roy Haynes (d) Recorded 1949, 1951
Side 1 has "New York USA" label. Side 2 has "767 Lexington Ave" label. Both sides deep groove. Hand etched "RVG" "9M" and "P" aka "The Ear" in runout on both sides. "43 West 61st St., New York 23" address on back cover. No printing on spine.
Record looks VG+ and plays VG to VG++ on Side 1 and VG+ on Side 2. Side 1 has a few light small scratches. No deep or long scratches. Side 2 has a small, light scratch. Both sides have lots of superficial scuffs from unsleeved storage. There are spindle marks and grooves show some play. Record plays very enjoyably without distortion and the music is strong above moderate surface noise. The noise is of the wear type not the loud repetitive ticking type.
Cover is strong VG++.
The front cover has light to moderate wear with hint of ring wear at the bottom. The back cover has light to moderate wear. No split seams. Small pieces of cover slick missing from top seam and the spine. Spots of heavy wear and denting at the corners.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
