Performer Notes: Blitzen Trapper's third release for Sub Pop finds the band working with collaborators for the first time, opening the studio doors to an outside mixer and co-producer. Musically, though, the band keeps things entirely within the family, brewing up a track list that harks back to the band's 1970s country and Southern rock influences without losing sight of Blitzen Trapper's contemporary appeal. ~ Andrew Leahey
