Review / Comments:
Amorphis are a band holding true heritage to their Finnish culture by using the Kalevala as inspiration for their lyrics. In their early days they should have listed Iron Maiden as a direct influence because if you listen to a riff in "Exile of the Sons of Uisliu" from The Karelian Isthmus album, it is a rip-off of "Alexander the Great" from Iron Maiden's Somewhere In Time album. The only difference is Amorphis uses a very down-tuned guitar tone and throws in a triplet during the middle of the riff. If I were Steve Harris, I'd be asking for a British pound for every album sold. In any case, this is part of the Relapse Records Single Series and limited.
