Description

Amory Kane LP - Just To Be There - 1970 UK LP featuring Dave Pegg and Ron Geesin.CBS 63849,orange label,first pressing matrix numbers S 63849 A1,S 63849 B1.An album of two halves,the folk psychedelia of side one is followed by the more standard singer songwriter fare.

Line up of Amory Kane (guitar and vocals),Ned Balen (drums and percussion) and Dave Pegg (bass guitar).

Cover is generally very good.A minor classic of its time,with a subdued psychedelic feel.First impressions are excellent,edges and spine are firm.with a couple of rubbed spots,a few short light creases running from panel edge across the spine,slight wear to open edges,very small bump to the top right corner.Front panel has a few light creases and an inch long narrow strip of raised laminate next to the spine.On close inspection both front and back show almost transparent stripes,presumably from rollers in the production process.There is a very short stretch of mild ring wear,rear panel,left arc.

Vinyl is generally very good.It has a bright appearance to the vinyl and a generally fresh clear sound.Just one short light scratch across the run-in,and a few revs of track 1 on side 2.A little noisy at the beginning of both sides and in the transition between tracks.There is an occasional hint of light crackle,plus the odd light click or pop.Labels retain their bright orange colour,spindle marking on side1 label.
