Original copy of '2001'. Great LP from 1984 that sounds like 1975: here it's Anada's pyschedelic troop at work again. Hard funking & psychin' out, combined with dreamy flute visions. Far greater than it's reputation. Sponsered by Goodyear!
This is an incredible album in which he combines his brand of sitar psychedelia with both funky and ambient sounds! Very eclectic, very innovative... Fantastic album from start to finish.
2001 - the name speaks for itself.In this title number Ananda Shankar has let his imagination wonder in a journey towards the future,a voyage through space and time.It expresses the uncertainty,the tension,the excitement and wonder of travelling in space and ends with the thrill of a mission fulfilled.In each of them the main melody is played by a particular Indian Instrument such as the Shenai,Santoor,Sarod,Flute,Esraj and Indian Drums.

All Records are mostly visualy graded.We do provide audio samples also for interested collectors to listen 1st before bidding.
M New and Unplayed (If not sure we don't use it)
NM Nearly Mint, but has been played at the most once. No visible signs of wear or damage.
EX Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.
VG Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
VG- Some wear, scratches and scuffs, audible back ground noise but no skipped or repeat grooves.
