Andrew Hill's 1968 Blue Note session Grass Roots is one of the pianist's most approachable and melodic recordings, featuring an outstanding quintet with Lee Morgan, Booker Ervin, Ron Carter, and Freddie Waits. This Tone Poet Series edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and housed in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket.
