Description
This is the original mono Van Gelder-stamped "P" pressing of Andrew Hill Point of Departure on the "New York USA" labels of Blue Note BLP 4167. (BLP 4167 was never pressed with a deep-groove.) The playing surface has a scuff and several small handling marks - all inaudible - on Side 1. The "New York 23" cover is bright and clean throughout, in excellent condition. Personnel includes Kenny Dorham, Eric Dolphy, Joe Henderson, and Tony Williams.
