Description

This Decca 78 RPM album set is a landmark recording by Andrés Segovia, one of the greatest classical guitarists of the 20th century. Issued as Decca DMA-384, the three-disc 12-inch shellac set presents Segovia’s celebrated transcriptions of works by two giants of Spanish music: Isaac Albéniz and Enrique Granados. 

Recorded during Segovia’s important American Decca period, these performances helped establish the classical guitar as a serious concert instrument and introduced a wide audience to Spanish guitar repertoire.
