Description
Rare 1970 Pop-Rock / Bubblegum Studio Master Acetate
Up for sale is an incredibly rare, authentic 10" studio lacquer master acetate of Andy Kim's 1970 hit cover of "Be My Baby." Originally made famous a decade prior by The Ronettes, this specific 1970 recording holds massive historical significance: it was produced by legendary songwriter and producer Jeff Barry, who co-wrote the original track for The Ronettes.
This historic reference disc originates directly from Jeff Barry's personal studio archives. The lacquer surface features original handwritten studio grease-pencil notations reading "9/30/70" and "Stereo Unf'd Vers" (Unfaded Version), documenting an unreleased studio mix that preserves the full instrumental outro jam rather than fading out early for AM radio play.
