VINYL (Visual Grade):  VG to VG+ (Side One plays quite nicely, Side Two has quite a bit more crackle but still plays pretty nicely and has no skips or deep pops at all.  A FREE CD made of this actual LP will be included.

Comments:    Where to begin? This is #4 in the catalogue of The Andy Warhol Record Covers and is from 1951!  This is the ORIGINAL and VERY RARE 1951 pressing.  I have taken many photos to show the condition of the cover and it's minor flaws.  Let's begin with the obvious, the Yellow Tape!  I don't know who owned this LP but they carefully (however misguided) put nice strong yellow tape along the edges as seen in all of the photos.  If I look inside the cover I don't see any splits so it is rather mysterious as to why the original owner used the yello tape??  I suppose someone could skillfully remove it but I am not going to mess with it.  So if you have a problem with the Yellow Tape, Please DO NOT BID.

Other than the tape there are a few minor issues with the cover as seen in the photos I have posted.  In the arm of "the Junkie" you can see a small tear (the white spot).  There is also a minor bend in the cover as seen in photos of the front and back cover.  There is some minor browning from age and the type of cardboard this Art was printed on, again carefully see photos.  The owner even made his own text on the spine for the LP as seen in one of the photos.  Overall I think the LP jacket is solid VG to VG+ even with the Yellow Tape, which as misguided as it may have been to put on the cover, it actually makes the Art work "POP" if I may use that term, it seriously looks good as if it was meant to be there but obviously it was not.  Once again, if you can't handle the Yellow Tape, then please save us both the time and do not bid.

Not only is this a rather early Warhol LP cover, it's also probably one of his most interesting as it features a Heroin addict shooting up on the cover and the actual record label! I don't know about you but that's a lot more interesting than flowers or Ballerinas. 

This cover is totally suitable for framing and hanging and these have been selling for rather high prices in worse condition.  This LP cover looks great even with the Yellow Tape. 

I have set a reasonable reserve considering the rarity of this LP cover. 

I will also be including a CDR that I made from this actual LP so you can listen to it and not have to play the LP if you don't want to. 

I hate to let this go but I feel it's time for it to have a new home.

All LP's are shipped using professional LP record mailers.  The LP will be removed from the jacket to avoid spine damage during shipment (Unless LP is SEALED).  All LP's are shipped with 2 cardboard  pads for extra protection.  A poly sleeve is also included.  All boxes are stamped FRAGILE,  KEEP AWAY FROM HEAT & DO NOT BEND.  As a record collector for over 20 years and as a record seller of over 10 years, I pack with extra care.

1 LP is $4.00 for Media Mail & Delivery Confirmation.  Priority Mail is also available as Media Mail can be and is often slow.  Priority Mail is $9.00.  I will accept M.O.'s & Checks as well.  Email me first.
