I ordered this from Fusetron as soon as it was released, and I just got the 3 LPs in the mail. Factory sealed (see photos) - perfect condition. This is one of only 1,000 that will ever be produced in any format. 

It kills me to sell this before even listening to it, but I really need the cash (I have to buy equipment for my band). I hope it goes to someone who enjoys the hell out of it.

Because I give a damn, 10% of sale price will automatically go to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation.

Here's the announcement from Pitchfork:

We've been hearing about Animal Crack Box, the mythic triple-LP Animal Collective live box set, for literally years now. The set collects a whole mess of live and unreleased tracks that the band recorded between 2000 and 2003, and it's the sort of thing that sends vinyl fetishists and A.C. superfans into paroxysms of ecstasy.

As we reported back in March, Catsup Plate, the label that released the band's Campfire Songs album, put a test pressing of the set up for auction on eBay, with the proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. (The winning bid: $2,425.) This was an admirable way to benefit a worthy cause. And it was also an indication that Animal Crack Box actually existed.

Well, Animal Crack Box now exists as something other than a test pressing. Fusetron has it for sale here. It's limited to 1000 copies, and there are no plans for digital or CD releases. You should probably act quickly if you want it.

In related news, NPR's "Live in Concert From All Things Considered" series will stream Animal Collective's show at Washington, DC's 9:30 Club tonight, starting at 10 Eastern. Also, the band killed it on "Letterman" last week.
