You are bidding on 3 unique items that Animal Collective donated/signed to help “Share the Spirit” raise money for their upcoming shoe drives throughout the U.S. (more info on the charity below). You are helping a great cause and you get some one-of-a kind items from a truly unique band.
Here’s the deal…my brother is Dave (Avey Tare). Our mom helps out with the various “Share the Spirit” projects and fund raisers. She asked us to put together this auction to try and raise as much as possible to help those who need some help (in most cases it’s children that benefit from the shoe drives). So, here’s what you get:
A signed copy of “Honeycomb” and “Gotham” on vinyl (see photo of the entire band holding the signed record) along with Dave’s “Share the Spirit” hat and one of Dave’s “working passes” from the Merriwether Post Pavilion tour. The 45 was signed during the Centipede HZ tour rehearsals in L.A. in August. The hat was signed at the Mann Music Center when the band played their show on 10/3/12. As a bonus, I will include a disc with a dozen pics I snapped before (backstage) and during the Mann show.
The 45 they signed has glue on it from the inside of the sleeve so I am including a second, unsigned copy of the record that is clean and ready for your turntable.
You get 2 copies of the record, Avey Tare’s signed hat and a working pass/laminate.
There is no reserve on this auction and we are starting with a super low opening bid.
