This is one of those modern RSD releases where the pressing itself is the story.

Anitta’s Funk Generation received its vinyl debut for Record Store Day Black Friday 2024, pressed on striking translucent Lemonade Yellow vinyl and limited to only 1,000 copies. This was not simply another color variant at the time—it was the album’s first appearance on vinyl.

Released through Republic Records, Funk Generation is Anitta’s celebration and international expansion of Brazilian funk, mixing Portuguese, Spanish and English across a 15-track album. It includes “Funk Rave,” “Mil Veces,” “Double Team” featuring Brray and Bad Gyal, and “Ahi” featuring Sam Smith.

And visually, this pressing delivers. The translucent electric-yellow/lemon vinyl against the stark black-and-white center labels makes this a particularly sharp-looking edition.
