Annette Funicello "A Chance Like That"  Is A completely Unreleased Acetate that was produced for her 1965 movie called "Fireball 500"   This acetate was cut by American International Pictures movie production company which released the mov e "Fireball 500" starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon.
The song "A Chance Like That" is listed as part of the soundtrack for "Fireball 500" but was cut from the film. Therefore this Annette Funicello song was never released in any form. 
This combination of circumstances makes this acetate 45 the rarest Annette Funicello record of all! This acetate is rarer by far than the extremely rare Annette vs Haley Mills 10" LP. That rare album was produced at least in the hundreds. Fewer than 10 copies of this acetate were likely to have been cut. This acetate has a hand typed label with a capitalization error in the title. To my knowledge, this is the first copy of this song by Annette Funicello to ever become public.
An acetate is a limited edition record created as part of the record manufacturing and quality review process. Unlike a vinyl record an acetate record blank is made out of aluminum which is then coated with liquid cellulose acetate and left to dry.
An acetate blank is then cut with an electronic lathe system that transmits the sonic wave information and cuts the grooves with a cutting needle directly into the coated acetate on the aluminum disc. The finished acetate is then either used as the next step in pressing records or in the case of this acetate, becomes the first disc form of a master tape track for a produced test playable record that can be used to determine if a song track will be used as part of a final movie or record production.
This is one of the two Annette Funicello acetates I have ever seen. The first one for " Step Right Up" also originally intended for use in her movie "Fireball 500" sold earlier.
