Recently acquired in an ongoing purchase of a leftover 1930's dealer's stock, is this lovely Diva 2940-G sung by Annette Hanshaw.
Accompanied by a small Jazz Band, probably including Charlie Spivak, Jimmy Dorsey, Arthur Schutt, and Tony Colucci, Miss Annette sings "Daddy Won't You Please Come Home" and "Am I Blue."
Both sides were recorded in NYC on May 31, 1929.
This great record (one of my own personal favorites by Hanshaw) is in delightful excellent-plus (E+) condition, just as good as it gets. It is in the original Diva sleeve.
