Lovely Annette Hanshaw is accompanied by Her Sizzling Syncopators which (according to Miss Hanshaw) included James P. Johnson and Clarence Williams, and she sings "If You Want The Rainbow" and "My Blackbirds Are Bluebirds Now" on Velvet Tone 1766-V.
The accompaniment is more likely a small unit from Ben Selvin's Orchestra.
These great sides were done in NYC on October 19, 1928.
The record is in shiny excellent to excellent-plus (E to E+) condition. There are a few light edge lams and a couple of very light surface scuffs, none of which make any noise.
A real nice record! It is in the original Velvet Tone sleeve.
