Description

Annette Hanshaw  sings  on both sides of this Velvet Tone record.  Side One is Am I Blue,  Side Two is  Daddy Won't You Please Come Home.  hanshaw was   a wildly popular  singer in the 1920s and 30s.  Her  signature  sign off was to say "That's all" at the end of each  song and these two are no exception.   Velvet Tone  is a record label  issued by Columbia records from 1926 to 1934.  This record is intact, no breaks or cracks.  The label  shows some slight signs of wear.  The record is in good condition. Sound quality is  still  good, with some minor  surface hiss.   I'm no expert at grading  records, but would likely rate this  one as an E, meaning  good sound quality, with some surface noise on playing. I have just played both sides,  it sounds  good,  a real trip back to the roaring 20s.  This record is 1940-V. It is  number 148647 and148648.
