Record: very good+ : fully heard: at the beginning of side 1 some soft strange noise. Great sound by the tape recording made in Geneve by DECCA engineers and the German Teldec production pressing. German quality! Glossy surface, 2 holetraces (cf. the 2 photos of the record)
Cover: very good+ : slightly used.
Ernest Ansermet (1883-1969) founded the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Genève in 1918 and was its conductor a life long. Besides he was heartily acquainted with the Russian Composer Igor Strawinsky and his Ballet Russe. Originally Ansermet was a mathematics professor, teaching at the University of Lausanne.
