This is a rare mispressing of Aphex Twin’s Richard D. James Album. It’s an original Warp Records pressing according to the Barcode and Matrix info from Discogs on the release. However, this pressing does not have the original labels, but the labels of a release by Metope on Areal Records from 2001, which should date this repressing to that time period. I have only found one mention of this mispress, which was in a thread on the WATMM Forums from 2010, so I’m guessing there aren’t a lot of these around. I bought this copy sealed and just now opened it. I have played the whole record through once and it’s definitely the Richard D. James Album, and it’s dead quiet too. See the multiple pictures below. With the ones of just the labels, I tried to get the matrix info on there to show it’s WARPLP43.
Condition:
Vinyl is EX (played once, slight warp that doesn’t effect play)
Sleeve is VG+ (some minor corner wear, still in the shrink)
