A classic album for RDJ fans and legitimately hard to find on vinyl these days. This is the more commonly found brown vinyl pressing which apparently has inferior sound quality to the black vinyl pressing. Having owned both I can say this is tosh, but the brown vinyl is definitely more "fragile" in that it's slightly more susceptible to crackle and pops than the black pressing. The actual sound quality for both is the same, to my ears at least.
Cover: Very Good. There is damage to this sleeve: the corners were significantly bent inwards due to poor packing. Sad but true. It is obvious and I've tried to show how it looks from all angles so please check photos carefully. Otherwise the spine is clear and legible with just a couple of nicks to it, the edges are free from major wear and the front and back are clean. The damage is most obvious to bottom two corners.
Records: all near mint. Labels clean and free from spindle wear. Played all 6 sides carefully and it is clear they haven't been played much, if at all. The style of music is not suited to vinyl because it is so quiet but this plays through really well with only some minor pops/ticks here and there. The crackle never overwhelms the music and there is not a single skip or sticking point on my system. Anyone looking at this knows that to replicate CD quality on vinyl (for this album especially) is impossible but what I can say is this is a loud and clear pressing that plays through exceptionally well.
The insert is VG+. Creased slightly on bottom corners in the same places as the cover but no rips or tears and still nice and clean. Not often seen.
Just a quick note, it might be of interest to some that the brown pressings usually came in a monochrome sleeve. This comes in a normal colour sleeve for some reason, but the label pictures are monochrome too. Any other questions about this feel free to ask.
All my records are packed securely in strong Musicmax cardboard mailers with stiffeners inside. When packing the records are removed from their cover and, if necessary, placed in separate protective liners to ensure no bumping around during transit. As a collector myself I take great care in this step to ensure records arrive as they left. I only charge exactly what it costs to send.
