HALF BREED
1-SIDED UK APPLE 12" STEREO ACETATE
*UNKNOWN & UNRELEASED?*
This is a rare & GENUINE 1-sided, 12" stereo acetate on the Apple Records Custom Label
The disc comprises 5 stereo tracks by an unknown/unreleased(?) British 'folk/rock' group c.1969-71.
Having played the disc (just once), it is NOT the first side of The Keef Hartley Band's 1969 LP 'Halfbreed'.
The first lines/verse of each song are:
Track 1. "The air I breathe, the road I ride now, the mood you're in won't turn me on .."
Track 2. "The broken locket and the watch that doesn't go, that faded yellow photographs you took so long ago.."
Refrain: "Tell the Children, tell the children tell, and when you speak my name you gotta say you knew me well'
Track 3. "Have you seen Felicity Strong, do you know who I mean? Have you seen her go by in the night."
Track 4. "There's a man who's painting pictures in the street, day-to-day he works to make ends meet.
From his corner stand he paints with ease.
Colours of gold and blue before my eyes, images of life they never die.
Tapestries displayed for me to see, pavement artist paint my picture please."
Track 5. "Catch me something I can ride and throw me on the road, let me move away from you I need some time alone.
And I'm not gonna turn these wheels around for you, no I ain't gonna turn these wheels around for you..'

Visual: EXCELLENT
The playing surface is clean & glossy bearing just some inner sleeve storage marks & a few very faint lines but no cracks or damage to the laquer.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
No attempt to clean this disc has been made.
Audio: NEAR MINT
All tracks play perfectly & sound 'as new' with no crackle or groovewear.
There are no clicks, jumps, repeats or other signs of audible wear.
There is no original cover with this disc.
