Notes
UK single-sided DJ promo for the "Cryptic Cut" mix of Election Day.
This is the only release of this mix limited to 400 copies on vinyl. Later it appeared on the "So Red The Rose" 2CD/DVD re-release.
Side A has a white label with graphic art and a 2-digit numeric code:
[24 38 24 20 02 32 44 42 00 22 16 12] reads:
[E L E C T I O N _ D A Y]
Side B has a plain lilac label, playing a sinus test tone.
"Parlophone" not credited on label. All common UK releases of "Election Day" carry "Parlophone" / "Parlophone Odeon Series" logos.
"There were many, many mixes of "Election Day" that were completed (and most remain unreleased). The so-called Fact and Story mix of "Election Day" was released on an unlabeled 12" single to the UK clubs. Nick and Simon have referred to this mix as the Cryptic Mix, which should not be confused with the Cryptic Cut No Voice mix which has very little lyrics."

"Election Day" was the first single released by the Duran Duran offshoot band, Arcadia.[1]
It was released by Parlophone Records in October 1985 and subsequently hit the Top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic, peaking at #6 in the US and #7 in the UK. The single reached the Top 5 in New Zealand and Ireland, but was especially popular in Italy, where it topped the chart for seven consecutive weeks.[2][better source needed] Along with the Arcadia members, "Election Day" features Grace Jones on vocals and speech segments.
