Aretha Franklin was an American singer, songwriter, pianist, and civil rights activist. Her father was a minister in Detroit, Michigan, where Franklin began her career as a child singing gospel at his church. By the end of the 1960's, Aretha had become known as the 'Queen of Soul'. "Aretha Arrives" is her eleventh studio album. The single "Baby I Love You" reached #1 on the R&B Chart, and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Gospel influenced soul, jammed-packed with Aretha strutting her stuff. Her voice is in peak form and tells the truth. Item is in excellent condition. Atlantic Records, #8150, MONO, no barcode.
