Description

This is an excellent copy rare 1st pressing (oval logo grooved) recording of Noyes Fludde, the Chester Miracle Play, as set to music by Benjamin Britten for the 1961 Aldeburgh Festival and performed by Owen Brannigan, Sheila Rex & Company and the English Chamber Orchestra conducted  by Norman del Mar.

The sound quality on this record is excellent and it features on Harry Pearson's TAS list of best sound LP's

The vinyl has a beautiful bright shine and there are no visible blemishes or scratches. It plays superbly. The sleeve is in good condition with no splits but there is s small amount of laminate lift on the front. The record comes with its original inner sleeve which is also in very in good condition and a copy of the libretto from the 1st performance in Orford Church which is slightly grubby..

Please note that I do not use the record collector grading system which is highly misleading. I grade by close visual inspection and playing on high quality kit.
