Record 1: VG, some rubbing and light lines from the cardboard sleeve. Side 1 has a fingernail mark (about 2 inches) that can't be felt. Labels have some spotting.
Record 2: VG, some rubbing and light lines from the cardboard sleeve. Some factory bubbles were also noticed. Labels have some spotting.
Please note that there is some surface noise and the grooves aren't pressed perfectly center which is common among low-budget independent pressings like this.
Sleeve: G-, ring wear on the front and back, seam split in the corner and about halfway along the top and about 1/3 of the way in the first pocket and about 3" on the second pocket. Inside gatefold is clean with only some spotting along the top.

I knew very little about this record when I first got it. It's a New-Age, Trance, Jazz, Psychedelic meditation record with a narrator telling you what to do as you listen. It's very avant garde and experimental, and quite interesting.

Nowadays Arica exists only as the Arica Institute, a school of spiritual development formed and led by Chilean mystic Oscar Ichazo. However, in its early days, two albums were produced and released in the US, presumably to increase awareness of the school. The names of the musicians involved were not given on the record sleeves, credited simply to ‘The Arica Musicians’, and enquiries through the Institute yielded no names, so until someone from the sessions comes forward with more info, we may have to assume their identities are lost to time. In a way, though, this mystery suits the remarkable music contained within these resultant grooves – timeless sounds that could have been conjured from and played by the very spirits of the Earth.
The lengthy, flowing nature of the music doesn’t lend itself well to trying to describe each track in much detail, but is best described overall. The tracks are presented as an audio accompaniment to a guided meditation – explained in the liner notes – to be done lying with feet pointing towards the speakers.

ULTRASONICALLY CLEANED: These records have been cleaned using an ultrasonic record cleaning machine in a 3-pass process. The first pass is through distilled water with a small amount of non-phosphorous, non-ammonia cleaning solution. The second and third passes are through fresh distilled water to ensure all of the solution is rinsed off. The cleaned records are then placed in new frosted poly inner sleeves.
