Description
Up for auction is a rare original deep groove mono pressing of the Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers 'A Night At Birdland Volume 1' LP on Blue Note Records BLP-1521. Other musicians include Clifford Brown, Lou Donaldson, Horace Silver, and Curly Russell.
Record info:
VG visually with moderate scuffing but it plays way better than it looks with not much noise at all. I almost keep this one!
Cover info:
VG with 2" seam split on bottom at jacket opening, some tape on bottom left corner. The back cover has initials written in marker and some faint writing in pencil by tracklisting and along top right.
Label / Pressing info:
Original 767 Lexington Ave address label, deep groove with flat edge, and RVG initials and Ear logos on both sides in the dead wax area.
Buy with confidence. I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.
Shipping for US customers is $4 for media mail or $10 for Priority mail. For high value items I would recommend adding insurance.
International shipping will be $18. I reserve the right to request registered or courier mail for high value items and to some countries (Italy, Brazil, Russia) due to the unreliability of their postal services.
