Description
Art Blakey "Orgy In Rhythm" Vol. 2, 1957
RARE Blue Note Recording, 1555, Mono, Deep Groove, "Ear"
Percussion takes center-stage on this inimitable Blue Note release. Performers include Art Blakey, Arthur Taylor, drums; Jo Jones, "Specs" Wright, drums and tympani;Sabu, bongo and timbales; "Potato" Valdez, Jose Valiente, congas; Ubaldo Nieto, timbales; Evilio Quintero, cencerro, maracas and tree log; Herbie Mann, flute; Ray Bryant, piano;
Wendell Marshall, bass. Special features on the vinyl include deep groove on center label, 47 West 63rd Street address, "ear" on dead wax. There is some noticeable surface
noise on this record; we regret that we cannot have this record in its mint condition. Still, it sounds excellent with no skips or breaks on playback. This is one of Blue Note's sparkling
early recordings in mono!

Side Two: 1. "Come Out And Meet Me Tonight"
2. "Abdallah's Delight"
