Description

This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P” pressing of Art Blakey “A Night at the Café Bohemia, Volume 1” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1507. The flat rim playing surface has several light superficial scuffs/handling marks; other than a few light tics at the beginning of Side 1, the record plays as new – bright and clear with no groove wear. The frame cover has the Lexington Avenue address and is clean throughout; light rubbing along the bottom seam; light foxing and name written in ink at the top right corner on the back slick. Personnel include Hank Mobley, Kenny Dorham, Horace Silver, and Doug Watkins. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------CHECK OUT the new book: "Blue Note Records, A Guide for Identifying Original Pressings" by Frederick Cohen.
