Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped mono “P”-pressing of Art Blakey “A Night in Tunisia” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note 4049. Side 2 has a double-struck label, where the blue outline of the first label can be seen at the 1:00 position. (Double-strikes are uncommon and can usually be identified by an adhesive discoloration, which is seen here.) The playing surface is virtually flawless, with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated New York 23 cover (serif font) is in excellent condition – bright and clean throughout – with slight wear at the spine corners. Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
