Description

Up for sale is a very clean copy of Art Pepper Quintet ?– Smack Up on the Contemporary Records label.   Vinyl is (visual) M-/VG++. Hairlines, scuffs. Retains much gloss.

Cover is M-/VG++, light general wear. Edge-wear. All seams intact (see photos for details).
VPI cleaned.

I play-graded this one.

Side 1: Plays and sounds great. Minimal surface noise and clicks/ticks in quiet sections. Track 2 has some louder clicks/ticks in one section. Some light distortion from groove wear towards the end of the side. No loud pops or clicks.
Side 2: Plays and sounds great. Some light surface noise/light ticking in some very quiet sections and in between tracks. There are also plenty of quiet sections with no clicks/ticking. Some very light distortion from groove wear towards the very end of the side. No loud pops or clicks.
From a collection I recently purchased from an 83-year old record collector. His record shelves had plexi-glass doors in front of them which explains the amazing condition of the sleeves. He also took incredibly good care of the records. Follow my listings for more M-, mono Blue Note, Prestige, Pacific Jazz, Verve, Contemporary and Riverside LPs I'll be listing in the coming days.
