Summary: Love EKS 74001 1A / 1B. Decent copy of the US 1969 Monarch 2nd pressing. Elektra Red labels with large "E" logo, Vinyl retains it’s original sheen, plays through clean, no skips, jumps, pips or pops. US card sleeve, no splits or tears, graded strong VG+. Los Angeles based band Love had a rather short but extremely important nay influential part to play in the sixties rock scene. Starting with their eponymous debut album in 1966, this being their most rock-oriented. The strongly stereo-ised sound of this album features strummed, Byrds-like guitar chords in one channel with crisp, riff-fuelled bass and drums rhythm in the other. It is all topped off with the muddy, emotional vocals of lead singer and chief song-writer Arthur Lee. Classic album.
Sleeve: US card sleeve, stereo sticker in right hand corner – corner is also clipped (export cut). Despite being card, this sleeve remains in nice condition. No splits, tears or ring-wear minimum signs of handling only, fully readable spine, light scuffing on corners and edge only, graded very strong VG+ (see photos)
Inner sleeve: Rare US Elektra Records black promotional “building” inner sleeve with photos. No side splits. This is the same as the Mirror Sleeve, except that there are photos on one side. Text at the bottom reads: "Elektra Records 1855 Broadway...". Issued between 1968 and 1971.

Vinyl: retains its natural sheen, nice and bright and shiny with clear groves. Closer inspection under bright light reveals some very light wispy sleeve traces, a few mild hairlines, again only really visible under bright light. Graded VG+ at worse more towards EX, nice copy given its age and rarity.
Audio: Plays through clean. Clear audio – no sticks, skips, jumps, pips, pops or crackle, nothing that interferes with listening at all, lovely sound, graded EX or better (played on a Project carbon - blue Ortofon)

The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again. I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
